2020 Mothers Day Gift Guide (for the women in your life that you can't live without)

I pray you have at least one of the kinds of moms I have. I've got my mama Miller, my mom-in-love Tschirhart, the sweetest women at church, and co-workers who inspire me in countless ways.

I could write essays about all the incredible women in my life + what they've taught me, but the bottom line is this:

These women inspire me to be better, to do better, and to live better. And I want to be just like that.

If you have one or more of these women in your life, now is the time to plan how you'll shower them with your adoration, praise, and gratefulness. Mothers Day 2020 is May 10th, so get to planning! Most of these ideas can all be started now... even with corona dictating our lives.

(***None of these are affiliates, but totally could be if anyone wanted to.)

//1// Beauty Box Subscription

You know the ones- the cute little boxes that bless your mailbox each month, but you'd never pay for one for yourself?? Think Allure, Birch Box, etc.

If you have hopped on the natural beauty wagon, you don't have to be left out! Right here in Adrian, Mi is Nature's Beauty Box! You can find their website here. I love that they have a "monthly" option, as well as six month and yearly rates. All of their products are made with non-toxic ingredients and aren't tested on animals (find more here). They're all about sustainability + I gotta praise that.

//2// Illustrated Portrait

Tiffany at Generation Able makes the *cutest* portraits!! She just added line art to her arsenal and they are literally drool-worthy! That photo in the middle is one she did for Brandon and I. She also does enneagram portraits and family portraits. You can find her Instagram here and order from there.

//3// Custom Family Hoop

Order a custom hoop any mama would adore at Stitches by Bree! These are so unique, there's like 1% chance your siblings are going to get the same thing! I love how Bree makes the stitching pop out and come to life. You can find her Insta here and her shop here.

//4// Jewelry

Mata Traders ethically sources and supports a plethera of honorable causes, not to mention they have super cute jewelry. I found their products at a little shop on Mackinac Island last summer. You can find them here.

Kyrie Bristle also makes incredible earrings! I love the geometric shapes that are going to look *gorgeous* on your mama or mama-figure. You can find her on Insta here and have them shipped for $4- just message her for more details!

//5// Family photos

If you're in the SE Michigan realm, Gina at Gina Barnaby Photography captures the *cutest* newborn (among other!) photos. The most perfect gift for any expecting mother or for some family/couple portraits. Either way, she'll take care of ya with a snazzy gift certificate! You can find her on Insta here and her website here.

//6// Send Flowers

Flowers for Dreams started out as a college project and has grown into a company that I've admired for years. They donate 25% of their net profits to charity and are doing amazing things amidst the current pandemic. If you are in Chicago, Milwaukee, or Detroit, *you* are in luck! They'll hand deliver your beautiful bouquet or you can pick it up. You can also purchase a gift card online for a future bouquet to keep everyone safe (: These photos are pulled from their Insta (find them here!) and you can find their website here.

If you're not in one of their delivery areas, support your local florist by buying a gift certificate for your mama to use later.

//7// Buy a Plant

The Sill is a NYC-based company that will ship the most beautiful (and affordable) plants to your door (or your special lady's!). Brown thumb? No problem. All their plants come with care instructions and access to the experts. You can find them here!

//8// Care Basket

This is honestly my favorite thing to do. I go to Marshall's and browse through the store to find a few ideas, pick out a cute little basket and then fill it up all cute-like. It's personal, it's practical, and it's affordable.

//9// Magazine Subscription

Some of my favorites are Magnolia Journal and Relevant. Sign your lady up for the magazine and just include a little drawing or print out in your Mother's Day card.

/10// Shipt Membership

Give the gift of time with Shipt. Someone else goes out and gathers all your goodies and they just show up at your/your mama's door! You can find their gift membership site here.

I sincerely hope you all have the opportunity to shower someone special this Mother's Day- be it a mom or a motherly figure or whatever else. Don't take your time together for granted.
